で言うところの、
Loadable modules that are specifically designed to work with a GPL'ed
program are considered legally to be derived works of that program.
がそうじゃないかなあ。LinuxカーネルがLGPLだったらよいのかもしれないが、
GPLだよね? だからダメなんじゃないの?

そんで例外条件の方は見つけられてなくて、かろうじてここで
Linusが発言してるのを見つけただけ。

It obviously cannot be linked into the kernel, but as a loadable module
it's ok as long as it uses the standard interfaces and nothing more.
この発言から「as long as〜」以下が成立しないときはダメと読める。
