NetBSD 1.5.2 で ip filter を使おうと思ってますが、 分からないことがあります。 よろしければ、教えて頂きたいのですが…。
1) セキュリティホールは塞がれている？ Bugtraq より * IP Filter 3.4.16 以前にはセキュリティーホールがあるらしい。 * NetBSD Security Advisory 2001-007 によれば NetBSD 1.5.1 will ship with the fix. (NetBSD 1.5.2 は恐らく大丈夫？)

がでてきます。今日本語の設定をしてるのは.cshrcにsetenv LANG ja_JP.EUCをいれてるだけ なので、ktermでjlessしても日本語が読めないのは設定が足らないだけなのかもしれないです が、上のメッセージが気になります。locale対応のC libraryを入れろといってるように思うのです が、どのportsを入れればいいのでしょう。もしかしてほっといてもいいんですか?

以前、ktermなんかをたちあげた時の Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged Couldn't set locale: ja_JP.eucJP, ja_JP.ujis,ja_jp.EUC,japanese.euc,Japanese-EUC,ja,japan というメッセージに関する質問をしました。で、OpenBSD/NetBSD日本語環境補完計画という ページを教えてもらって読んでみたのですが、個々のアプリの対策はいいのですが、全体的 に何をすればいいのかは理解できなかったので、>>592にあったように1.6releaseを入れてみ ました。日本語っぽい設定としては.cshrcにsetenv LANG ja_JP.EUCを入れただけの状態で ktermをたちあげるとWarningの行だけが表示され、kterm上で中身が日本語のファイルをless で見ると、やはり表示できませんでした。
ちょっと、私の悩みを聞いて下さい。 私、OS X 10.2を使っているんですけど、Zoularisが入らなくて困ってるの。 FinkはLinux的な匂いがして超ダサイから嫌だしぃ。 だから、いっそのこと私のiBookちゃんにNetBSDを入れちゃおうかしら、と思っているのよ。 1.6からはiBookにも入るようになったみたいだしね。 でさ、iBookにインスコした素敵な方なんていないかしらと思って、ここに来たわけ。 OS Xと共存させてる方なんていたら最高よね。

USB-シリアル変換アダプタを使ってUSB経由でネットワーク機器のconsoleにつなぎ たいのですが、 uplcom0 at uhub0 port 1 uplcom0: ATEN International Serial adapter, rev 1.10/0.01, addr 2 ucom0 at uplcom0 というのが起動時でていますが、うまくいってるのかどうなのかわかりません。 その次に何をすればいいんでしょうか? MAKEDEVというのをしてもunknown deviceといわれるし、Googleっても引っかかるんですが、 理解できませんでした。
