PostgreSQL or MySQL

くだ質できいて、Linux板へ行けといわれましたが、
Linux板にはPostgreSQLしかスレがなかったので、こちらに
質問させていただきます。

RedHat7.3+MySQL-3.23.52
で環境構築したいと思っています。

このサイトからtar.gzとRPM両方で試しましたが、エラーが出ます。

tar.gzを展開する場合はconfigureすると、以下のエラーです。
NOTE: This is a MySQL binary distribution. It's ready to run, you don't
need to configure it!

To help you a bit, I am now going to create the needed MySQL databases
and start the MySQL server for you. If you run into any trouble, please
consult the MySQL manual, that you can find in the Docs directory.

Sorry, the host 'localhost' could not be looked up.
Please configure the 'hostname' command to return a correct hostname.
If you want to solve this at a later stage, restart this script with
the --force option

「すでに起動してるので、コンフィギュアする必要がないよ。」 →ダウンロードして
一回目のconfigure又は、展開されたディレクトリ削除後にconfigure実行してます。

「MySQLに必要なデータベースを作成してMySQLサーバを起動するつもりだ。
もし、トラブルに見舞ったらDocsDirectoryにあるファイルを参照してくれ」
→Docsディレクトリはまだありません。

「ホスト名がよくわからないから、
フォースオプションをつけて、再度実行してみてね。」
→厨房なのでforceオプションは出来れば避けたいです。
